Terms of Use
Last updated
Effective 2026-09-14.
These terms of use govern access to and use of the RSP Engineers website (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Information only — not professional advice
The Site describes the services of RSP Engineers and publishes technical articles for general information. Nothing on the Site is engineering, legal, financial or other professional advice, and nothing on the Site is a design, a specification, a permit determination or an opinion on any particular site or project. Engineering services are provided only under a written agreement that defines the scope, the project, the jurisdiction and the responsible professional.
No engineer–client relationship
Reading the Site, sending an inquiry or submitting a form does not create an engineer–client relationship, an agreement to provide services, or an obligation of confidentiality. Please do not send confidential or proprietary information through the Site until an engagement has been confirmed in writing.
Licensure and jurisdictions
Professional engineering licensure is granted by individual state boards and is specific to a discipline and a jurisdiction. Services described on the Site are provided only where RSP Engineers holds the applicable licensure and by the professionals who hold it. Ask us which jurisdictions and disciplines apply to your project.
Accuracy of information
We try to keep the Site accurate and current, but codes, regulations, agency procedures and site conditions change. Articles reflect the date they were written and may not reflect later changes. We may correct, update or remove content at any time without notice.
Intellectual property
The Site and its content — text, articles, graphics, logos, photographs, page designs and code — belong to RSP Engineers or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view, download and print pages for your own non-commercial reference, keeping all notices intact. Any other reproduction, distribution, modification or commercial use requires our prior written permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site in a way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation or security, that attempts to gain unauthorized access to any system or data, that scrapes or harvests content or personal information in bulk, or that misrepresents your identity or affiliation when contacting us.
Submissions
Information you send through the Site's forms is used to respond to your inquiry and is handled as described in our privacy policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit and confirm that you have the right to share it.
Third-party sites and content
The Site may link to government agencies, standards bodies and other third-party websites for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RSP Engineers and its officers, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, data or business, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The effective date above shows the current version. Continued use of the Site after a revision means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
