Permitting for Industrial Development

RSP Engineers brings nationwide experience integrating civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, geotechnical, and environmental services to help move projects efficiently from due diligence through permitting and construction.
We manage site development approvals and entitlement processes with local authorities, including zoning verification, rezoning applications, special-use permits, site plan approvals, utility coordination, and building permit support. Our multidisciplinary team coordinates site infrastructure, structural systems, MEP requirements, grading, drainage, utilities, access, equipment yards, and future expansion needs to create a unified and permit-ready design.
We also evaluate whether the proposed use is consistent with applicable industrial zoning classifications, such as light-industrial and heavy-industrial districts. When required, we coordinate environmental permitting, construction stormwater compliance, NPDES and TPDES General Permits, and agency reviews with organizations such as FDEP, TCEQ, water management districts, municipalities, counties, and other governing authorities. What does the site engineering include?

How are environmental requirements handled?
Through the applicable permits and, where the site disturbs an acre or more, an NPDES permit and a site-specific stormwater pollution prevention plan with documented inspections during construction.
